A Flirtpole is a long pole with a lure attached on the end. The pole can be a bambopole, a horsewhip or a plasticpole and should be at least 2 meters long. The lure can be a raggy, toy or anything the dog will chase.

Moving the pole back/forth and changing directions with the lure close to the floor is great fun for the dog.  It builds co-ordination, speed and alertness. It can be done at any age even as a small puppy. Make sure you let your dog get the lure as if he never gets it he'll quickly get bored and won't want to play with the flirt pole anymore.

This is a terrific game for the dog and most dogs get so excited when he sees it. It is also a cheap toy and a great exercise tool.
